JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto appreciated the performance of ministers in the Red and White Cabinet who have been active for 44 days, since the new government was officially formed on October 20.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo in front of about 50 businessmen from the United States who were members of the AS-ASEAN Business Council at a morning banquet at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 3.

"My government has only been active for 44 days. Today is our 44th day. And of the 44 days, sixteen days I traveled (out of the country). However, I want to convey that I am very satisfied with the performance of my government for 44 days," Prabowo said at the State Palace, as reported by Antara.

Prabowo explained that the appreciation was addressed to the ministers because most of the targets set by his government continue to be carried out.

According to the President, many commitments have been made by cabinet ministers. Therefore, the Head of State also expressed his gratitude to the cabinet, which he called a team.

In those 44 days, the President reviewed the performance of the cabinets and the results of the work were reported in a plenary cabinet meeting held on Monday (2/12), which was attended by all ministers, deputy ministers and heads of institutions/bodies.

In the cabinet meeting, the President admitted that he was impressed by the fast work of the ministers, even though the President had only returned from a visit from six countries for 16 days.

"I was very surprised when I came back and my ministers reported what they had done. I think they were working very fast and very impressive," said the President.

During the morning banquet, the President was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Rosan Roeslani and US Ambassador to Indonesia Kamala Shirin Lakhdir, Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hashim Djojohadikusumo and Deputy Minister of Finance Thomas Djiwandono, and President and CEO of the AS-ASEAN Business Council.
