Cianjur Government Applies Eight-Hour Working Hours During Fasting

CIANJUR - Cianjur Regency, West Java, during the fasting month implements an eight-hour work system for ASN starting from 08.00 WIB to 15.00 WIB. This working hour is valid every weekday except Friday at 08.30 WIB and returns at 15.30 WIB.

Head of The Regional Education and Training Staffing Agency (BKPPD) Cianjur Budi Rahayu Toyib said the determination of working hours was applied based on the Circular Letter of the Regent of Cianjur Number: 056/2232/Org on the determination of working hours during Ramadan 1442 Hijrah.

"For ASN (State Civil Servants) in Cianjur government environment, during the fasting month there is a reduction in working hours, usually ASN enters from 07.30 WIB to 16.00 WIB, during fasting ASN working hours change from 8.00 WIB to 15.00 WIB", he was quoted as saying by Antara, Monday, April 12.

The application of these working hours applies to all working statuses either working in the office or at home so that there is no distinction, all working hours for ASN are adjusted during the fasting month.

"Because in the middle of the pandemic there is a working status of the office and home, but applied everything, except Friday there is a difference in working hours from 08.30 WIB to 15.30 WIB", he continued.

As for leave, it prohibits ASN from taking time off both before fasting until the eve of Eid al-Fitr, for those who violate will get strict sanctions from the Regional Inspectorate, ranging from reprimand sanctions to written.

"There is no leave for ASN, even the regent has instructed during fasting until Eid, each ASN supervises each other and reports if there is a colleague who violates. We will impose administrative sanctions by applicable regulations", he continued.
