139 KK Residents Of The Toll Road Are Relocated To The Rusunawa, Free To Pay Rental For 6 Months

A total of 139 heads of families under toll roads in the Jakarta area this week were transferred to Rusunawa owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Public Housing and Settlement Area Office. The residents who were transferred were free to pay rent for the next six months.

The Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait together with the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Region Affairs Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) and the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian handed over the keys to the Rawa Buaya Flats (Rusun) to residents who were relocated from under the West Canal Inspection Toll Road (Jelambar Baru).

Maruara said the relocation of residents was also part of efforts to organize areas under bridges and under toll roads to be used as places of more positive activity.

"I suggest that it can be managed for a good park equipped with jogging tracks, a place can also be provided for MSMEs," he said in an official statement, Saturday, November 30.

Maruara also thanked all relevant parties who have helped smooth the process of moving or relocating residents under the bridge and under the toll road to the flats to get proper housing.

In addition, Maruara also gave appreciation to the ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) who had moved quickly to help realize the relocation of residents under the bridge to the Flats managed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

"The Governor of Jakarta, the Regional Secretary of Jakarta, the Head of the Housing, Mayor, and the Village Head are all steady. Thank you for humanizing the citizens of Jakarta," he said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian said that this citizen relocation activity could provide a large wave effect that was attended by all local governments.

The next step is Bandung, then other areas will move simultaneously. The hope is that residents who do not have a proper place to live can have a proper place. Don't just be ceremonial, but there is assistance so that they can adapt, be given training so that they feel at home and don't come back again," said Tito.

Free Of Payment For 6 Months

DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Marullah Matali expressed his gratitude to the Central Government for helping residents, especially in Jakarta. He said residents who were relocated would receive free rental fees for flats for six months.

"Relocation residents will be given a free of six months and it is hoped that after receiving skills training, residents can pay independently the rent of Rp550,000 for type 36," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the DKI Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Housing Agency, Kelik Indriyanto, in his report revealed that 139 Heads of Families (KK) with DKI ID cards were transferred to several Rusunawa locations.

There are 44 units of Rusunawa Rawa Buaya. For the other 95 families, 20 units of Rusunawa Daan Mogot Block will be placed, 4 units of Rusunawa Daan Mogot Tower, 26 units of Tegal Alur Rusunawa, and 45 units of Pulogadung 1 Rusunawa PIK, "he said.
