JAKARTA - The Israeli military has banned Lebanese residents from moving south towards a number of villages and their surroundings until further notice

Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee said his party opened fire on Thursday against what he called a "suspect" with vehicles arriving in several areas in the southern zone.

Israel called it a violation of the ceasefire with Iran-backed Hezbollah armed groups, which took effect on Wednesday, November 27.

Lawmaker Hezbollah Hassan Fadlallah accused Israel of violating the deal.

The Israeli enemy attacked those returning to border villages, Fadlallah said.

The Israeli military also said on Thursday the air force attacked a facility used by Hezbollah to store medium-range rockets in southern Lebanon, the first attack since the ceasefire took effect on Wednesday morning.

As reported by Reuters on Friday, November 29, Adraee called on Lebanese citizens not to return to more than 60 villages in the southern region, saying anyone moving south of the designated line "places themselves in danger".
