JAKARTA - Chairman of the Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU), Wahyu Dinata, emphasized that the results of the vote count for the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) are still waiting for a tiered recapitulation.
The statement was made in response to claims from two camps of the Governor and Deputy Governor Candidate pairs regarding the implementation which took place in one or two rounds.
"Yes, we also monitor the media actually, every candidate pair is definitely said to be waiting for the final recapitulation from the KPU. So even though there are those who claim, some say one round, two rounds, they are still waiting for the official results from the KPU," Wahyu told reporters on Thursday, November 28.
So far, not all data from the Polling Stations (TPS) has been received. As of November 27, it was stated that the KPU had received 99 percent of the data.
Therefore, all camps of the candidate pairs are asked to wait for the official calculation results. So, there are no mutual claims regarding the results of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
"Because without the official KPU results, of course, the process cannot run, according to existing regulations," said Wahyu.
Meanwhile, the candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno claimed to have won the Jakarta Pilkada in just one round.
