The Involvement Of Smart Marsindo Boss In The Case Of The Former Governor Of North Maluku Will Be Submitted To The KPK Leadership

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) must develop every fact revealed at the trial. The public prosecutor (JPU) will report it to the head of the anti-corruption commission to determine the follow-up.

This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika in response to the facts of the trial which stated that there was money given to the former Governor of North Maluku Abdul Gani Kasuba from the Director of PT Smart Marsindo, Shanty Alda Natalia.

"All information at the trial will of course be reported by the public prosecutor, yes, to the leadership," Tessa told reporters, Thursday, November 28.

"Any things or any new information, any new evidence at trial that can be followed up will be submitted to the leadership," he continued.

After hearing from the prosecutor, the KPK leadership is said to determine its attitude. "If there is evidence or information that can be followed up later. So we'll just have to wait," said the spokesman with the investigator's background.

Previously reported, the KPK confirmed that it would investigate the alleged giving of money to former North Maluku Governor Abdul Gani Kasuba through Muhaimin Syarif, who is the former chairman of the Maluku Gerindra Party DPD. One of the businessmen who is said to have contributed was the Director of PT Smart Marsindo, Shanty Alda Natalia.

Meanwhile, Shanty Alda was questioned by investigators as a witness at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Friday, March 1. He was absent twice, namely on January 29 and Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

"So what SA mentioned through MS to AGK, well, we are investigating whether MS was told to bribe into AGK or MS like a broker," Asep told reporters at the KPK ACLC Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 6.

Asep ensured that investigators would explore the relationship between Muhaimin Syarif and businessmen who gave money. "Indeed, through MS this is the bribe," he said.

"This is being investigated (with respect, red) MS with these people mentioned earlier," he continued.
