Egyptian Drone Smuggling Weapons Into Israel Shot Down

JAKARTA - A drone or drone carrying weapons from Egypt trying to be smuggled into Israel was shot down.

Citing Reuters, the Israeli military claim was announced Wednesday, November 28. However, Egyptian military sources said they were not aware of the incident.

Two separate incidents occurred in October 2024. Israel also claimed to have shot down the two arms smuggling drones from Egypt.

Earlier, Israeli officials said during its military invasion of Gaza, the Hamas militant group used a tunnel that stretched under the border into the Sinai region of Egypt in the arms smuggling process.

However, Egypt said it had destroyed the tunnel leading to Gaza a few years ago.

Egypt created buffer zones and border strongholds to prevent the smuggling.
