JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto asked the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) to deepen studies related to the implementation of zoning-based New Student Admissions (PPDB) before making a final decision.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 26, after meeting with President Prabowo Subianto regarding this matter.
"The point is related to PPDB, the President asked or assigned us to deepen the implementation study," he said as quoted by ANTARA.
Mu'ti said the zoning PPDB study also involved heads of education offices, education experts, and stakeholders providing education.
The results of the study will later be reported to President Prabowo for further direction.
The final decision regarding the implementation of the zoning PPDB will be discussed and determined in the upcoming cabinet meeting.
"The decision will be submitted in a cabinet meeting," he said.
