3,978 Witnesses Ready To Guard Atang-Anida's Victory From The Threat Of Fraud In The Bogor Regional Head Election

BOGOR The winning team for the candidate pair for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Atang Trisnanto and Anrida Allivia, showed great strength by deploying 3,978 witnesses to oversee the 2024 Bogor Pilkada.

These witnesses are members of West Java Putih, Bogor City, which is known as the spearhead of securing the election process.

Not only supervising the voting at 1,530 polling stations, the witnesses who are volunteers are also tasked with maintaining the integrity of the process from the preparation stage, election day, to post-noise counting.

The head of the West Java and White Task Force in Bogor City, Adityawarman Adil, revealed that thousands of these volunteers were divided into strategic roles, namely witnesses, witnesses in charge (PJ), and witness coordinators (Korsak).

"Our volunteers not only sit at the TPS, but also ensure that the process takes place according to the principles of overflowing (direct, public, free, confidential) and jurdil (honest, fair)," explained Adit, Monday, November 25.

According to him, their presence is a collective effort to create a Pilkada that is clean and far from cheating. This support comes from the spirit of citizens who want to see real changes in Bogor City.

However, the Atang-Anna team's struggle was not without obstacles. During the campaign period, the team faced attacks in the form of destroying campaign props (APK) and spreading hoaxes that cornered the candidate pair.

"We remain steadfast in the face of this sabotage. Volunteers continue to work, not only to oversee the election, but also to ward off false information on the ground," said Adit.

He also emphasized the support of the West Java Putih team for Bawaslu in eradicating hoaxes and preventing provocations.

The existence of West Java and White volunteers does not stop on voting day. They will also be active in supervising vote count to ensure the results are in accordance with what the people have chosen.

"We want to make sure every vote is calculated correctly. Volunteers will stand guard until the end," added Adit.

Adit also called on all parties to maintain conduciveness during calm times. According to him, calm is the key so that people can choose with a peaceful heart.

"Our supporters must remain calm and not be provoked. For other candidate pairs, let's compete positively. We don't need to get involved in things that harm democracy," he said.

He also reminded that victory can only be achieved in the right way. "Remember, gold will not be exchanged for silver. Honesty and sincerity in fighting will bring the best results," he concluded.
