TANGERANG – The flood that had submerged the Garden City Housing Complex, Gebang Raya Village up to 110 centimeters, has now receded 100 percent. In fact, the housing complex can now be crossed by two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.

“Community mobility can now return to normal,” said Acting Head of Tangerang City BPBD Ubaidillah Ansar, Monday, November 25.

Ubaidillah said that 1,687 residents of the Garden City housing complex were previously displaced because their homes were flooded due to the broken embankment of the Ledug River, Periuk, Tangerang City. However, they have now returned to their respective homes.

“Residents or evacuees have returned to their respective homes,” he said.

Currently, his party and local residents are working together to clean the streets and yards of houses that are dirty due to the flood.

“Joint officers are still working to handle the cleaning and help the community clean the houses that were previously submerged in floodwaters up to a height of almost two meters,” he said.

For information, the rain that poured down on the Garden Housing area, Periuk, Tangerang City, Saturday, November 23 caused the river embankment to break. Water from the river entered the residents' settlements, causing a flood as high as 110 centimeters.

Then on Sunday, November 24, the flood continued to recede to 70 centimeters. However, residents were still evacuated to a safe place.
