JAKARTA - The Indonesian Election Study Institute (LKPI) released the results of a survey related to the electability rate of two pairs of candidates for Regent and Deputy Regent in the East Lampung Pilkada after the campaign period and public debate.

The LKPI Executive Director, Dedi Rohman, explained in a survey to simulate open questions, where respondents were asked to choose the candidate they chose if the Pilkada was currently held, the results showed the Dawam-Ketut pair was superior by obtaining 52.2 percent of the votes. Meanwhile, the Ela-Azwar pair got 37.2 percent, and 10.6 percent of respondents did not provide answers.
"Then in the simulation with closed questions through the qualifier, the results showed that the Dawam-Ketut pair got 54.9 percent, while the Ela-Azwar pair got 38.3 percent, and 6.8 percent of respondents chose not to vote," said Dedi in his statement, Friday, November 22.
While in the simulation using a duplicate ballot, the results showed pair number 02.M. Dawam Raharjo-Ketut Erawan won 881 votes or 54.34 percent. Meanwhile, pair number 01, Sila Siti Nurmyah-Azwar Hadi received 618 votes or 38.12 percent, with 122 blank ballots.
In addition to measuring electability, LKPI also tested the level of preference of the people of East Lampung for the vision, mission, and program of the two pairs of candidates. As a result, 73.8 percent of respondents were interested in the vision, mission, and program of the M. Dawam Raharjo-Ketut Erawan pair. Meanwhile, 60.7 percent of respondents were interested in the vision and mission of the Ela Siti Nurmayah-Azwar Hadi pair.
Meanwhile, in a survey measuring the level of popularity of the two couples after the campaign and public debate, the results showed that the Dawam Raharjo-Ketut Erawan pair's popularity reached 90.8 percent.
"This means that 9 out of 10 respondents know this couple," said Dedi.
