Socializing The Draft P4GN Regional Regulation, Bogor City DPRD Accommodates Residents' Aspirations

BOGOR - DPRD Bogor City through commissions - commissions, conducted a socialization of the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) on the Facilitation of Prevention and Eradication of the Abuse and Dark Circulation of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursors (P4GN).

The chairman of the Draft Regional Regulation (Bapemperda) of the Bogor City DPRD, Anna Mariam Fadhilah, said that this socialization was held by commissions to absorb the aspirations of the people who would later be included in the draft Raperda.

"There is a lot of input from the public, especially regarding the conditions in the field regarding the rise of drug trafficking and victims from drug use, which is troubling the public," said Anna, Tuesday, November 19.

Anna revealed that the abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotics and narcotics precursors in the city of Bogor is worrying and threatens the development of human resources as well as the life of the nation and state.

The preparation of the P4GN Raperda was explained by Anna referring to Article 3 letter a of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 12 of 2019 concerning Facilitation of Prevention and Eradication of Abuse and Dark Circulation of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursors.

Thus, the Regional Government needs to draw up regulations in the form of regional regulations as an effort to build coordination and play an active role in the Prevention and Eradication of the Abuse and Dark Circulation of Narcotics and Narcotics Precursors in Indonesia, especially in the Bogor City area.

So that the Bogor City DPRD considers the need for prevention and eradication efforts as well as integrated, directed and sustainable handling. From this Raperda, we also hope to encourage the issuance of the Bogor City BNN. Because so far we are still joining the Bogor Regency BNN," explained Anna.

Furthermore, Anna said that Article 3 of the Bogor City Government's P4GN Raperda has three tasks, namely providing services and access to communication, information and correct education to the public, coordinating across institutions, both with government agencies, the private sector and the community and facilitating special efforts, medical rehabilitation, social rehabilitation, and social reintegration for narcotics addicts, narcotics and psychotropic precursors.

So that the presence of the Raperda P4GN has a scope that regulates prevention, early anticipation, eradication, handling, facilities, infrastructure, human resources, community participation and others.

Therefore, this Raperda is proposed to provide a strong legal basis for efforts to prevent, handle, and rehabilitate drug users. With clear regulations, we hope to reduce the number of drug abuse, protect our young generation, and create a healthy and safe environment for all levels of society," concluded Anna.
