House of Representatives Commission III Holds Plenary Session for KPK Leadership Candidate Election, Setyo Budianto Leads as Chairman Candidate

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR held a plenary meeting to elect and determine 5 KPK leaders and elect the KPK chairman.

Commission III of the DPR will also elect 5 members of the KPK Supervisory Board for the 2024-2029 term.

This election and determination was carried out after Commission III of the DPR completed a fit and proper test on 10 KPK Capim and 10 KPK Dewas Candidates which lasted for four days starting Monday, November 18.

"According to the secretariat report, the plenary meeting of Commission III was attended by 44 people out of 47 members from 8 factions," said Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Habiburokhman in the Commission III room, Thursday, November 21.

In the vote count for the KPK Capim election, Setyo Budianto is temporarily ahead, followed by Fitroh Rohcahyanto, Johanis Tanak, Agus Joko Pramono, and Ibnu Basuki Widodo.

Currently, the vote count for the KPK Capim election is still ongoing. After the Capim count, Commission III of the DPR will count the votes for the KPK Supervisory Board Candidates. In the middle of the count, one member of Commission III of the DPR from the PKS Faction arrived and cast his vote. Thus, the number of members of Commission III of the DPR from the 8 factions present was 45 people.
