Ridwan Kamil Relys On Curhat Cars And Digital Services To Handle The Stress Of Jakarta Residents

JAKARTA - Prospective Governor of Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil, offers a number of programs to address the stress and mental health problems of residents, including vent cars, counseling services at health facilities, to digital applications.

According to Ridwan Kamil, improving the quality of health centers and hospitals to provide counseling is a priority. In addition, the ball pick-up service will be presented directly to the residents' environment.

"Digital applications will also become 'friends to vent' to the public, making it easier for them to access assistance at any time," he said at the Mata Najwa event, Thursday, November 21.

The vented car, which was successfully implemented in West Java, has now been piloted in Jakarta with 13 service points since October 2024. More than 3,000 residents have taken advantage of this service, with the most problems surrounding the economy and family relations.

Ridwan Kamil emphasized that this program was designed for all groups, from students to the elderly, creating extensive access for the mental health needs of Jakarta residents.

Based on data on program implementation, the problems that become the outpouring of the hearts of residents are very diverse. The most venting topics are economic problems, followed by family problems such as husband and wife relations.

"Initially initiating the pilot project in Jakarta, we targeted Gen Z, but it turned out that those who came to take advantage of the car service confided in their grandmothers. So the need is very high, very wide, ranging from school children to senior residents. Cars vent into our commitment to bring psychological services closer to residents," said Ridwan Kamil.
