Brawls Of Residents Of Kebon Singkong Vs Cipinang Jagal There Is No Medicine

JAKARTA Two groups clashed between residents of Kebon Singkong, Duren Sawit District and residents of Cipinang Jagal, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, like old wounds that never recovered.

The brawl between the two groups of people has been going on for decades, even like a grudge that never ends.

Various efforts to handle and prevent brawls have been carried out by the East Jakarta Metro Police, the TNI and the East Jakarta City Government involving a number of local RT/RW administrators and community leaders.

However, the brawl of the two groups is still happening. Security forces have not been able to find other solutions to the problem.

"On Monday night's brawl followed the death of a resident who was hit by a train (last week), maybe he returned this," said Amin, a resident of Bonsi, Duren Sawit, Tuesday, November 19.

Amin explained that the brawl in the area had occurred for a long time since a few decades ago. In fact, the brawl continues to hold grudges because it is from both parties who died.

"This has been going on for a long time since 2015," he said.

Amin said the brawl that occurred on Monday night was triggered by firecracker shots from a group of residents of Cipinang Jagal, Pulogadung.

"The problem was triggered by firecrackers. Since the beginning, it's been chaotic. This was originally from cipinang, a slaughterer to Kebon Singkong. Because he made him reverse (attack again because his colleague died)," he said.

In the past month, two groups of residents of Kebon Singkong with Cipinang Jagal have clashed 4 times.

Nandang (48), a resident of Kampung Jati, said that the residents' brawl on Monday night took a long time because no officers had visited the scene.

"This has been four times, this is what the battle took a long time. Some have started, provocateurs, so again fight the slaughter across from joining the slaughter on the edge of the rail. Starting from (the group) on the edge of the rail slaughter," Nandang told reporters.

Nandang said that last week's brawl took place briefly. However, one resident of Cipinang Jagal died as a result of being hit by a train during a brawl.

"Last week it only happened for a short time, only it happened that a resident from the side of the rail slaughter was hit by a train. That's until now (the brawl continues)," he said.

"That's why there is no point of peace (brawl). Even if the RW has been called to gather, (but) this is what it is. Even more difficult when it was Eid a few years ago, during the Eid al-Fitr brawl," he added.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly said his party had given Kamtibmas directions to residents at the scene of the brawl on Saturday, November 16, evening. However, brawls are still happening.

"Preemptive, preventive and repressive steps have been carried out optimally," he said when confirmed by VOI.
