JAKARTA - The anti-battle post established by the Duren Sawit Police along with local residents on the side of Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, RW 01, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, was damaged by a mob of brawlers on Monday, November 18, evening.

The anti-fight post was damaged using stones and firecrackers. The window glass of the post was broken due to being hit by stones from a group of residents of Cipinang Jagal.

"Earlier there was a building that caught fire and was also hit by firecrackers and Molotov," Tony, a local resident told reporters, Monday, November 18, evening.

Tony said that the perpetrators of the brawl from the residents of Cipinang Jagal, Pulogadung, attacked from the direction of the railroad tracks. They continued to shower stones and firecrackers at residents in RW 01 Kebon Singkong, Duren Sawit.

"Residents just survive, they continue to attack from the railroad direction with stones and firecrackers. They attack suddenly," he said.

Even among them were Molotov cocktail throws in the middle of a brawl between residents.

The brawl was only dispersed after a member of the East Jakarta Metro Police Sabhara was deployed to the location of the brawl.

After successfully beating back two groups of residents involved in a brawl with tear gas shots, the traffic flow which was hampered on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai was finally able to flow smoothly again at around 19.30 WIB.

Meanwhile, broken stones and glass are still scattered on the asphalt of the road where the brawl occurred (TKP). The exact cause of the brawl between residents of different sub-districts is not yet known.

However, according to Tony, this brawl between residents has occurred several years ago. The brawl to this day is still happening and has not been resolved.
