After Debate, The Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih Bursah Pair Is Getting Superior In The Lahat Pilkada

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Election Study Institute (LKPI) released the results of the latest 2024 Pilkada Lahat survey. For the second time, Paslon number 02, Bursah Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih is superior in all simulations that measure the electability of the Candidate Pair for Regent and Candidate for Deputy Regent of Lahat.

LKPI Executive Director, Togu Lubis explained, the survey measures the electability rate of the three couple Cabup and Cawabup Lahat with three simulations. First, with an open question simulation (Top of Mind) with the results of recording candidate pairs number 02, Bursah Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih snatched with electability levels reaching 36.4 percent.

Followed by candidate pair number 03, Lidyawati-Haryanto with 28.7 percent, candidate pair number 01, Yulius Maulana-Budiarto with 25.8 percent, and did not answer 9.1 percent.

"Secondly, with closed simulations using a questionnaire. Respondents were asked, 'If the Lahat Pilkada is held today, from the three Cabup and Cawabup Lahat, which one will you choose on voting day, the result will be recorded for candidate pair number 02, Bursah Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih was chosen at 39.7 percent," said Togu in his statement, Monday, November 18.

"Then candidate pair number 03, Lidyawati-Haryanto were selected 30.4 percent, candidate pair number 01 Yulius Maulana-Budiarto 26.1 percent, while those who did not choose 3.8 percent," he continued.

Third, by means of a simulation using 1,480 duplicate ballots submitted to 1,480 respondents from the ballot calculation. As a result, explained Togu, the Bursah Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih pair won 608 votes, Lidyawati-Haryanto won 419 votes, and Yulius Maulana-Budiarto won 408 votes. Meanwhile, 45 ballots were not cast.

"There is an increase in the voter trend for the Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih Flats after the inaugural debate," said Togu.

According to Togu, the inaugural debate is a turning point for the Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih Bursah campaign, where voter support for them has increased significantly.

"The Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih Bursah stands out with clear and structured answers to key issues such as economic development, health, and education. Their appearance is considered confident and competent, thus attracting the attention of many voters who were previously still hesitant," said Togu.

Togu assessed that the conclusion of the inaugural debate had become an important milestone in the campaign of the Zarnubi-Widia Ningsih Bursah pair. According to him, their appearance not only increases visibility, but also strengthens their position as serious competitors in the upcoming election.

"Over the course of the campaign, maintaining this momentum will be the key to turning this upward trend into a real voice on election day," concluded Togu.

The LKPI survey was conducted on November 9-17, 2024 during the pre-disputation and post-debate of the three Cabup and Cababup Lahat pairs by taking a sample of 1,480 respondents. They are spread proportionally in 24 sub-districts.

"The survey sample withdrawal was carried out using a multistage random sampling method, with a confidence level of 95 percent, while the fault tolerance or margin of error was +/- 2.54 percent.
