There's A New Ministry, The Issue Of Jokowi Cabinet Reshuffle Is Heating Up Again

JAKARTA - The issue of reshuffle or reshuffle of the cabinet of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) again raised, as the approval of the formation of ministries by the Dpr. This includes the planned merger of the Ministry of Education and Culture with the Ministry of Research and Technology.

Responding to the news, Secretary General of DPP PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto, confirmed his party as a party supporting the government handed over completely about the cabinet reshuffle to Jokowi because it is the prerogratif right of the president.

"The reshuffle that has the prerogative is the president. Because the minister is an aide to the president," Hasto said in thamrin area, Jakarta, Saturday, April 10.

Hasto said, Chairman of PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri always teaches her cadres to obey the rules of the game in politics.

"PDI Perjuangan by Mrs. Megawati was taught politics by obeying the rules of the game, good governance," he said.

Therefore, according to him, with the prerogative of the president, the president has the authority to evaluate the performance of all levels of his cabinet.

"And for that, the reshuffle can only be done at the will of the president. That's the attitude of the party," Hasto said.

Regarding whether Jokowi had met with Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri, Hasto admitted the two met often. The last meeting was held 10 days ago.

However, Hasto asserted that jokowi and Megawati's meeting only discussed fundamental matters about the nation and the country.

"Regular and periodic meetings are held by the two leaders discussing the nation and country, various issues that are fundamental and strategic in nature and will determine the improvement of the fate of the people and the nation and the country in the future," hasto said.
