The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Aceh Regency deployed a team to four villages in two sub-districts that were hit by floods. The water level due to the flood ranged from 30 to 50 centimeters (cm).
"The high rainfall for the last few days has caused the river to overflow, causing flooding to occur," said West Aceh BPBD Head (Plt) Said Wahyu as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, November 18.
The villages affected by the flood include Napai, Pasi Mali, and Cot Rubek in Woyla Barat District, as well as Teupin Peuraho Village in Arongan Lambalek District.
In addition to flooding, BPBD also recorded an incident of a damaged house in Blang Cot Mameh Village, Woyla Barat District. A house was damaged by a fallen tree that was hit by strong winds on Saturday night (16/11/2024) at around 21.15 WIB.
"In that incident, seven residents were affected because one part of their house was damaged by a tree," said Said Wahyu.
