Attacked By Provocative Hoaxes, Luthfi-Yasin Winning Team Reports Police Regarding Images Of TNI Members Tied By Police

JAKARTA - The black campaign and hoax news began attacking candidate pairs (Paslon) Cagub and Cawagub Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi - Gus Yasin, which was blown by an irresponsible party.

One of the spread of hoax news is in the form of spreading illustrations in the form of provocative through social media accounts (medsos).

The provocative illustration depicts a man in a TNI uniform tied to a rope, then behind him is a man in a police uniform.

The image is accompanied by provocative words that can provoke the anger of members or TNI institutions.

In the illustration picture it is written "Central Java Chooses Police, Don't Need TNI Loreng, Come on Coblos Ahmad Luthfi".

This image is still being shared on the TikTok platform in the past week through two different accounts, namely volunteer Komkomjenluthfi and Volunteer Luthfi.Solo.

The spread of provocative images triggered reactions from various parties, including from the Board of Trustees of the Luthfi-Yasin candidate pair winning team from the TNI, namely Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Bakti Agus Fadjari.

According to Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Bakti Agus Fadjari, none of the winning teams were involved in the spread of the provocative image.

He regretted that certain parties deliberately spread hoax images and are a form of slander that has the potential to divide good relations between the TNI and Polri.

"It is impossible for us from the 02 team to spread images that contradict the TNI and Polri. I am a soldier myself, it is impossible for me to insult myself or the TNI-Polri institution that we must protect together," said Bakti Agus in his statement received in Jakarta, Sunday, November 17.

He also reminded the public and media not to be influenced by the very misleading information.

"Please the public understand that this is untrue news. We have reported the distribution of illustrations to the Central Java Regional Police, and this case is being handled according to applicable law," he said.

The former Pangdam IV / Diponegoro emphasized the importance of maintaining unity between the TNI and Polri as a pillar of the state. He said the parties who tried to provoke or divide the two institutions were a threat to national unity.

"So far, we have been protecting each other between the TNI and Polri. Anyone who tries to clash these two institutions, clearly has no good intentions for the nation and state," he said.
