Luhut and the Mass Organizations He Formed Support Pramono-Rano in the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor-Deputy Governor Candidate number 3 Pramono Anung-Rano Karno received support from Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and the community organization (ormas) he formed, Bravo 5 in the Jakarta Gubernatorial Election.

Advisory Board of DPP Bravo 5 Lieutenant General Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) (Ret.) Sumardi emphasized that the support from a group of retired TNI for the candidate pair supported by PDIP Party was based on Luhut's direction.

"He said 'sir, please support Pram' just like that. Soldiers, that's our order in the regular army, stand straight. So that's how Pak Luhut as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Bravo 5 Fighters ordered the Bravo 5 volunteers to support Pram and Bang Doel," said Sumardi in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Friday, November 15.

Sumardi emphasized that the members of Bravo 5 will go to the field to gain public support for Pramono-Rano.

"That's why we gathered to convey our declaration of support to Mas Pram and Bang Doel to win in DKJ, the gubernatorial election will be in one round," said Sumardi.

Pramono admitted that he was grateful to receive support from Bravo 5, a mass organization that became a volunteer for Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla in the 2014 Presidential Election, Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 Presidential Election, and Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 Presidential Election.

"So far, when Bravo 5 has intervened, they have generally won. I believe that the reason why my electability has increased significantly is because volunteers like these have provided extraordinary support, including Bravo 5," explained Pramono.

Meanwhile, Rano Karno admitted that he was confident that he could win the Jakarta gubernatorial election in one round after his electability climbed in several surveys, plus support from Bravo 5.

"Today we are in Bravo 5, thank God. As the campaign period draws to a close, we must continue to work to maximize this enthusiasm, hopefully, we can reach one round," said Rano.
