Traffic Jams In Underpass Angkasa Kemayoran Due To The Theft Of Water Pump Cables

JAKARTA - The impact of cable theft in underpass Angkasa, two sections of Jalan Angkasa Pump Air, Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta experienced long traffic jams, Wednesday, November 13, afternoon.

VOI monitoring at the location shows traffic jams on two roads from the direction of the Gunung Sahari TL towards Kemayoran, and vice versa.

Congestion is caused by one section of Jalan Angkasa Pump Air, precisely in the underpass towards Kemayoran, which is closed half shoulder to the road with cone.

The closure was carried out because there was an repair of the water pump cable that was stolen by the thief. The repair was carried out by the Central Jakarta Highways Sub-dept.

Officers deployed a number of cars and cranes to lift the pump engine. Several Dishub officers and the Highways Task Force were also seen helping to unravel congestion.

"We did a check. Today, a replacement of the missing cable was stolen," said Head of the Central Jakarta Highways Sub-dept., Muhammad Soleh at the scene, Wednesday, November 13.

As previously reported, a pump cable at Underpass Angkasa, Jalan Angkasa, Gunung Sahari Selatan Village, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, was stolen by a thief, Wednesday, November 13. The cable is known to belong to the Central Jakarta Highways Sub-Department.

The perpetrators stole 4 pieces of 2 meters and 4 pieces of cable measuring 5.5 meters. As a result of the loss of cables, the water pump did not work so that the water suction process when the flood was about to be hampered.
