TANGERANG - Police revealed that the body of an unidentified woman wrapped in a mattress in Talagasari Village, Cikupa, Tangerang Regency, was suspected of being tortured to death.

Tangerang Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head Kompol Arief Nazarudin Yusuf said that based on the initial investigation, the victim died allegedly because he was abused by the perpetrator.

"The perpetrator carried out the persecution that caused death," said Arief when confirmed, Monday, November 11.

When asked about the injuries to the victim's body, Arief admitted that he could not convey them. However, he confirmed that the woman's body was found wrapped in a mattress and tied.

He said that currently his party is coordinating with forensic and Inafis doctors so that the identities and injuries suffered by the victims can be revealed.

"Forensic doctors and Inafis are already at the Balaraja Hospital to carry out and identify identities and then the result of the death of a woman who was suspected of having been abused resulted in her death," he said.

"We will carry it out after the results of the autopsy process," he continued.

Previously, the police arrested a man with the initials H, the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a woman in Kasur in Talagasari Village, Cikupa, Tangerang Regency.

"It was secured this morning," said Cikupa Police Chief AKP Johan Armando when confirmed, Monday, November 11.

Johan said the perpetrator was arrested in Talagasari Village, Cikupa, Tangerang Regency. This arrest was revealed after the victim's body was found in the morning, November 11, 2024.

"In Telagasari Village. The age of the perpetrator is around 27 years old," he said.
