TANGERANG - Two people were reportedly injured as a result of being hit by material on the stage of the grand campaign for the candidate pair for governor and Deputy Regent of Banten number 01, Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi, at Lugano Lake Park Citra Raya Field, Panongan District, Tangerang Regency, today.

The collapse of the stage was caused by heavy rain and strong winds that hit the campaign location.

Initially, the grand campaign activity for the candidate pair for Governor-Deputy Governor Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade went according to the arrangement of the event.

Then in the midst of the activity suddenly heavy rain flushed and caused the roof of the stage to break and collapse.

"At that time the water inundated the roof of the stage, the top of the stage then collapsed the arena unable to hold the water," he said.

He said Airin had gone up to the stage and delivered an oration. "The event is already running, even Airin has already made a speech in front of his supporters. When it happened, it was just entertainment," he said.

As a result of the incident, a number of guest stars, including the Wali and Maj's band, which plan to entertain supporters of the regional head candidate pair, did not appear. "The hurry collapsed and the stage did not become a gig," he said.

Airin Rachmi himself apologized to his supporters because the grand campaign activity did not go well as a result of the incident.

"I apologize for this incident. Keep your spirits up and don't forget to vote on November 27, 2024, later," he said.
