COVID-19 Task Force Issues Homecoming Ban, But There Are Exceptions For These Five Reasons

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Task Force on Handling COVID-19 Doni Monardo issued Circular Letter No. 13 of 2021 concerning the Elimination of Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri Homecoming and Efforts to Control The Spread During the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Doni said that the period of eid al-Fitr 2021 is valid from May 6 to 17, in accordance with the government's decision.

"This Circular Letter is effective from 6 - 17 May 2021 and will be reviewed further in accordance with the needs and / or with the latest developments in the field," said Doni in SE, quoted on Thursday, April 8.

However, there are a number of reasons that are the exception to the travel ban during the Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr season.

"The journey of people during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr is excluded for logistics distribution service vehicles and travelers with urgent needs for non-medical purposes, namely work / business trips, sick family visits, funeral visits of deceased family members, pregnant women accompanied by one family member, and the interests of childbirth accompanied by a maximum of two people," explained Doni.

Doni said, SE is to regulate the mobility restrictions of the community and optimize the function of COVID-19 post in villages / villages during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

Meanwhile, the goal is to monitor, control, and evaluate in order to prevent the increase in COVID-19 transmission.

There are four scopes stipulated in the SE are public health protocols, control of worship activities during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr prayers, the elimination of homecoming on May 6 to 17, 2021 for all regions of Indonesia, and optimization of the function of COVID-19 post villages / villages to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.
