Separately, a resident of Tanjung Sebauk, East Sedanau Village, Bunguran Batubi Subdistrict, Zulfari, said the victim was Abdul Mursalin (35). The victim, said Zulfari, was estimated to have been attacked at 04.15 WIB in the early hours of the morning behind his house.
"The victim told me that he was preparing for the dawn prayer, and would defecate at the back of his house," he said.
From the victim's story, he continued, the crocodile allegedly used a tail to knock the victim into the water and then pounced on the victim's head, then dragged him away from the house.
Luckily, the crocodile released it after a neighbor of the victim caught the crocodile's eye and the crocodile fled.
"Suddenly the crocodile came to attack, at that time the neighbor who heard the incident immediately took a flashlight, after that the crocodile fled, and the victim immediately went up to the top," he said.
As a result of the incident, the victim was seriously injured and rushed to a regional public hospital (RSUD).
"The condition of the victim was severe, his face had bite marks, his neck was torn, and his left hand was also seriously injured, but he was still conscious," he said.
He explained that this incident had just happened, and this caused local residents to worry.
He hopes that similar incidents do not happen again and crocodiles do not return to the area.
