Compact 5 Candidates For Chairman Of ILUNI FHUI, Rahmat: This Is Not A Competition But Service

JAKARTA - The Grand Election of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (ILUNI FHUI) is getting closer.

Five candidates for the general chairman of ILUNI FHUI also continue to make introductions to their respective mass bases at campaign moments.

As a warm-up, before entering the Debat 10 and 17 moments of November, the five candidates, namely Raden Rahmat Bastian (FHUI 1992), Fernandes Raja Saor (FHUI 2006), Mohamad Fajri Mekka Putra (FHUI 1999), Robby Ferliansyah Asshiddiqie (FHUI 2005), and Yusuf Didi Setiarto (FHUI 1994) met face-to-face and shared ideas on the YouTube Channel @podcastnine. In the podcast broadcast Monday (4/11/2024) yesterday, the five ILUNI FHUI candidates were given 10 minutes each to introduce their vision and mission.

The podcast themed "Synergizes the Role of Law in FHUI and the Active Role of FHUI Alumni in Building a Legal System in Indonesia", guided by Alexander Frans and Wina Armada Sukardi. Candidate number 5, Raden Rahmat Bastian highlighted two things at the moment of the discussion, namely the role of FHUI alumni and efforts to empower FHUI alumni in the future.

"Synergy and connectivity between the lumies cannot be separated. We feel we cannot build a strong ILUNI without the role of each alumni," he said, written Tuesday, November 5.

According to him, the empowerment of human resources for FHUI alumni is the main key. In fact, not all FHUI graduates are involved in the field of law.

They, said Rahmat, are great in various fields. Some are entrepreneurs and bureaucrats too.

"I have data from 1964 and the variety of alumni professions is very diverse. I myself departed from the corporate lawyer and then established my own lawfirm and started studying office management. I feel that HRE (Human Resources Empowerment) is an important element of ILUNI," said the man who is now the CEO of PT Kalikaera Kotawaringin.

He believes that all FHUI alumni are genius and special. Because it's not easy to qualify and get an education at FHUI.

However, there are still many FHUI graduates who queue for work out there. "I got a deposit from other alumni outside UI, why don't FHUI alumni create jobs. So I want us at ILUNI later, if I am elected, it will be proactive to each alumni so that they can be empowered and create jobs for other FHUI graduates," he hoped.

ILUNI also, he continued, must play an active role in establishing links and match with the world of practice.

"Because the world of work based on applications is then selected and then accepted. But the world of practice is wider and more dynamic to the entrepreneurship level that creates jobs," he said.

He believes that his intention to bring FHUI to be better in the future can be understood by the alumni who will be his voters later. If he is elected as Chairman of ILUNI FHUI 2024-2027, he has prepared 3 important points.

First, build connectivity and networking for ILUNI FHUI and FHUI students. "Second, make a concrete contribution to the advancement of legal education in Indonesia. And the third point, I want to make ILUNI FHUI an organization that is beneficial for the people of Indonesia," explained the owner of the Instagram account @rahmatbastinailunifhui.

He also reminded them that the five candidates currently have made history. "The five of us are the most candidates for the ILUNI FHUI caketum in history. Here we are not competing but serving," said Rahmat again.

Therefore, he invited all FHUI alumni to register online until November 9 in order to have voting rights in the online voting from November 29-30.

"If I am elected, my target is clear, I will hold a program that can be capable and protect all types of professions, including notaries. In fact, I have thought about 3 major activities for notaries and land certificate maker officials until the grand FHUI reunion at GBK to be able to embrace all alumni without exception," he concluded.

Met in a casual discussion with a number of FHUI alumni in Jakarta, Tuesday, November 5, 2024 night, Rahmat also admitted that he was ready to take part in the Debate series on November 10 and 17.

"Ready, very ready," he said briefly.

Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the ILUNI Drinking Committee, FHUI Arya Wibisana, had explained that voter registration used a different electronic system from previous Pemira.

"This time we also have to attach a diploma scan," said Arya.

For prospective voters who hold alumni status without having a FHUI graduation certificate, Arya said he could attach a certificate from FHUI.

"We will use a new system with alumni data from the FHUI Education Bureau. Its name is OC Independent Electronic Voting System. It uses a website, there is no application," he said.

The election process can be done from anywhere but an offline selection point will be provided that has not been determined. The voting was held on 29-30 November 2024 and the results were determined at the FHUI ILUNI National Conference (Munas) on December 1, 2024.
