JAKARTA - Pariaman Mayor Genius Umar revealed the economic strategy in his work area, especially in the market. Genius initiates transaction restrictions through cash.

"We use electronic transactions using QRIS (code system, red) from Bank Nagari," genius said when met by VOI in Kuningan Persada area, Jakarta, April 8.

According to him, it can minimize social interactions that have the potential to transmit COVID-19. Because, buyers and sellers do not need to touch when transacting.

"So not with money, just with a mobile phone to make payments. it is also in an effort to reduce direct, personal to personal transactions," he said.

According to Genius, people do not mind the scheme of the transaction. They accepted the local government's call for new information and technology.

"This has started, so even though the new market is open, Bank Nagari immediately installed QRIS. the surrounding community is also taught directly to receive, so they are very open to receiving new information and technology," he said.

On the other hand, Genius also supports the economy in the market by emphasizing the importance of health protocols. He called pariaman region to bear the status of COVID-19 yellow zone. It shows the effectiveness of the implementation of strict health protocols.

In fact, says Genius, the current yellow zone conditions in its territory are close to the green zone category.
