Polda Metro Jaya and its ranks thwarted efforts to smuggle international network drugs from Malaysia. About 207 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 90,000 pills of ecstasy were confiscated.

"The total number of methamphetamine-type narcotics is 207.321 kilograms and 90,000 ecstasy narcotics," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto to reporters, Wednesday, November 6.

It was said that the disclosure of the drug smuggling attempt was divided into two cases. First, it was revealed by the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police by confiscating 117 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 90,000 pills of ecstasy.

"(The second case was revealed) the West Jakarta Metro Police managed to secure 90,321 grams of methamphetamine or 90 kilos," he said.

In addition, the Director of Drug Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Donald Parlaungan Simanjuntak, revealed the failure to smuggle 117 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and 90,000 pills of ecstasy.

There was information about drug shipments in the Riau region. Thus, it is followed up by stacking clues.

Until finally, the suspects with the initials AM and A were arrested in a mini market parking lot in Siak Regency, Riau, on October 30.

Then, it was developed and succeeded in arresting another suspect with the initials J in the Bengkalis area, Riau, on October 31.

In an effort to smuggle drugs, the suspects disguised themselves by putting the prohibited items into the car.

"So this mode is car sales," he said

Regarding the network, Donald said the suspects were members of the international network.

The network sent drugs from Malaysia to Riau. Then, sent again to Jakarta.

"This (international network) is strengthened by information from the suspect who should have been sent to Jakarta," said Donlad.
