JAKARTA - As a President, the love story that includes Joko Widodo and Iriana did not escape the spotlight. The love story of Jokowi and Iriana is interesting to tell because the meeting of the two is quite unique and able to make the lips smile.

In his story, Jokowi claimed that Iriana was a friend of his sister who often studied at home.

"This mother and my sister often study at home, often to the house. Yes (mother) friend sister (me)," said Jokowi.

On that occasion, Jokowi admitted to peeking at Iriana from behind a curtain-covered door. Iriana also did not deny that she knew that someone was watching her.

"You know, take a peek at each other," Iriana said.

On this occasion, Jokowi also admitted that the first date they went through was to invite him to eat meatballs. Although simple, Iriana was happy to accept Jokowi's invitation.

"The cheapest food, I invite you, well if this dapet. After the meatballs, two weeks I took a bike, the second want again, wah've this dapet," said Jokowi while joking.

Iriana Briefly Studied at Muhammadiyah University

Jokowi eventually proposed to Iriana a few years after their first date. At that time Iriana was said to be studying at a private university managed by Muhammadiyah.

"Just to know, Mrs. Jokowi also studied at muhammadiyah university of Surakarta, but only the sixth semester I have invited to marry," said Jokowi when inaugurating the Campus Mosque Ki Bagus Hadikusumo in Stikes Muhammadiyah Lamongan, Lamongan Regency, quoted from Antara.

After marrying, Jokowi who had just studied from Forestry Science UGM then brought Iriana to Aceh because she got a job there. The two had lived in a stilt house in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh.

Iriana is pregnant with their first son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, also in Aceh Province. They lived in a stilt house from 1986 to 1989. Jokowi's family decided to return to Solo before giving birth to Gibran.
