Pramono-Rano Holds Grand Campaign, Invites Jakarta Residents To Be Happy

JAKARTA - The candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta number 3, Pramono Anung and Rano Karno, held a grand campaign with the spirit of "happy fighting" at the Jakarta International Velodrome, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Sunday 03 November. The event, entitled "Lung Festival", aims to invite Jakarta residents to enjoy the democratic party cheerfully.

Pramono emphasized the importance of a campaign atmosphere full of joy, reflecting the character of Jakarta residents. "We want the people of Jakarta to feel happiness during this democratic process, as we have done so far," said Pramono. This campaign was attended by thousands of residents, who have been crowding the Velodrome area since morning, wearing clothes and orange attributes typical of Pramono-Rano supporters.

Pramono stated that this grand campaign involved many elements of Gen Z, who were enthusiastic about supporting and providing creative ideas. To reach young voters, Pramono and Rano created short video content that went viral on social media. "Even though I was lucky, Bang Doel and I are now enjoying the process of creating content that fits Gen Z's style," Pramono said, referring to the typical movements in short videos on TikTok and Instagram.

Rano Karno, or who is familiarly called "Bang Doel," added that this campaign focuses on positive and peaceful politics, without ridicule or hoaxes. "This is the time for us to compete in a healthy manner with programs, not vilifying or spreading false news," said Rano. Rano also expressed his appreciation to the citizens of Jakarta, especially the younger generation, who actively participated in this event.

Thousands Of Supporters And Simulations Of Votes

Around 7,000 sympathizers from the PDI-P throughout Jakarta also enlivened the event. Pramono and Rano, who were compact wearing white shirts, were greeted with the "flashmob" dance accompanied by the drum band rhythm. Not only the campaign, this event was also enlivened by the appearance of capital city artists such as Once Mekel, Anang, and Happy Asmara, as well as the traditional Betawi performance. At the peak of the event, a simulation of voting for candidate pair number 3, was also held as a form of education ahead of the vote on November 27, 2024.

This time, the DKI Jakarta Pilkada was attended by three pairs of candidates, namely Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) as number 1, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) number 2, and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) number 3. This grand campaign became Pramono-Rano's show in winning the hearts of Jakarta residents with a happy approach and a spirit of unity.
