Pramono Anung Claims To Get Support From 7 KIM Plus Political Parties, PSI Solid Support Ridwan Kamil-Suswono

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) responded to the claim of Candidate Governor number 3, Pramono Anung, who received the support of 7 political parties of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus to fight in the Jakarta Pilkada.

PSI emphasized that until now it is solid in supporting the cagub and cawagub pair number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono.

"In response to reports about a number of politicians who are members of KIM Plus and expressed support for Pramono-Rano in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada, PSI emphasized that the politician did not represent the party's official board," said Chairman of the PSI Jakarta DPW, Elva Qolbina, to reporters, Thursday, October 31.

Elva stated that support for other Paslon did not at all reflect PSI's institutional attitude and that sanctions would be given to members of PSI Jakarta who were not in line with the Party's decision.

"We want to emphasize that PSI remains solid and consistent in supporting the RIDO pair, namely Ridwan Kamil and Suswono, in the Jakarta Pilkada," he said.

Elva said that any statement of support that contradicts the party's decision is purely a personal attitude and does not represent PSI's official management or attitude. If there are cadres who defect, PSI will not hesitate to fire.

"We have done the warning and it is possible that we will impose strict sanctions in the form of revocation of the Membership Card to the person concerned for using the name of the Party for personal gain," said Elva.

Elva ensured that PSI remained with the coalition party supporting Ridwan Kamil-Suswono and would continue to work hard to ensure that the RIDO pair received broad support from the people of Jakarta.

"PSI believes this political sabotage act will not interfere with KIM Plus's solidarity and harmony as a unit of the party supporting RIDO in Jakarta," he concluded.

Previously, Jakarta Governor Candidate number 3 Pramono Anung said he was happy to receive support from 7 political party cadres (parpol) who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus.

Pramono emphasized that even though it was only carried by PDIP and the Hanura Party, he felt that he was a candidate for governor who received the support of all parties and groups.

"As a candidate for governor, I am not the governor of one party. I am governor for all groups, groups, all parties. So if there is support from parties or other groups, thank God," said Pramono in Matraman, East Jakarta, Thursday, October 31.

The seven members of this political party met Pramono without any direction from their respective party leaders. However, Pramono admitted that he had met with a number of other political party elites.
