JAKARTA - Indra Jaya (54), the perpetrator of the kidnapping, hostage-taking and molestation of the girl with the initials Z (5), began carrying out her crime on Sunday, October 27.

At around 19.00 WIB, the perpetrator Indra Jaya met the victim and her mother at the victim's house in the West Cakung Village area, Cakung District, East Jakarta.

The perpetrator's arrival at the victim's parents' house intends to borrow money. However, the victim's mother did not give a loan.

"Furthermore, the victim's mother left the perpetrator at the location along with the victim. Then the victim's mother traded uduk rice," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly when confirmed, Tuesday, October 29.

Furthermore, at around 19.30 WIB, the perpetrator who was known to have recognized the victim's mother and vice versa invited the victim to go for a walk. The perpetrator also borrowed the victim's neighbor's motorbike.

Shortly before the perpetrator kidnapped the victim, the perpetrator also took a knife from the victim's mother's house.

"The perpetrator took a kitchen knife at the location, then at around 21.00 WIB, the victim's mother returned from selling the uduk rice trade and asked the victim to a neighbor, but finally from a neighbor stated that the victim was brought by IJ," he said.

A few hours later, the victim's mother tried to contact the perpetrator via her cellphone. But the effort was unsuccessful. The perpetrator could not be contacted.

"You can't call the perpetrator and it's restless, then the victim's mother reports it to the police," he said.

During one night, the perpetrator Indra Jaya arrested the victim. It is suspected that that that night the perpetrator made an attempt to commit sexual abuse against the 5-year-old victim.

Then on Monday, October 28, morning, a number of motorists passing through the Pejaten area, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta were shocked by the hostage action carried out by the perpetrator Indra Jaya against the victim with the initials Z. The incident occurred at around 10:00 WIB.

The act of taking a knife to the victim's neck had caused a stir and went viral on social media. The perpetrator acted inside the roadside police post in a traffic jam.

The incident was also caught on camera by the residents' amateurs. The victim was seen screaming and crying for help.

When the police officers received a report, officers immediately went to the scene. The negotiation process for the release of the boy was tough.

The perpetrator Indra Jaya finally asked for a car to be prepared to escape from the Pejaten Police Post which had been surrounded by the masses. When the perpetrator was about to get into the car, officers and residents and drivers at the location immediately arrested the perpetrator Indra Jaya and handed over to the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Then the case was transferred to the East Jakarta Metro Police because the location of the kidnapping incident occurred in the Cakung area.
