Jessica Wongso Considers CCTV To Be Manipulated, Prosecutor: Old Song New Title

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) assessed that Jessica Kumala Wongso's statement regarding the manipulation of CCTV footage which is evidence in the case of the murder of Wayan Mirna Salihin was baseless. In fact, it is considered like an 'old song of new title'.

This is because Jessica Kumala Wongso always repeats the manipulation of CCTV footage, from the first instance of court, cassation, to Review (PK).

However, the repetition is wrapped in new narratives. So, it seems as if it is a new thing in the trial.

"Pertapi PK 3 terkait adanya manupulasi bukan hanya tidak berdasarkan tapi juga merupakan bentuk repetulan yang dibukis dengan narasi baru. Di mana terma lagu lama judul baru," ujar jaksa dalam persidangan di Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat, Selasa, 29 Oktober.

Not only that, the prosecutor also responded to the petitioner's camp which considered the CCTV footage invalid for violating procedures.

According to the prosecutor, there was no error from the recording showing a series of events at Olivier's Cafe. Starting from the arrival of Jessica Kumala Wongso to the collapse of Wayan Mirna Salihin as a result of being poisoned.

The reason is that the recording has been checked by competent digital forensic transfers.

"Regarding the CCTV footage that the PK 3 applicant considers invalid because the claim violates the procedure, we feel the need to remind that the recording has been examined by certified and competent digital forensic experts," said the prosecutor.

For information, Jessica Kumala Wongso officially submitted a PK on October 9. The application was registered with file number No.7/Akta.Pid.B/2024/PN.Jkt.Pst.
