Rahayu Saraswati Will Report Prabowo If The Fate Of Ipda Rudy Soik Is Depended On By The Police

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Rahayu Saraswati, stated that she would report to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, if the fate of the former Head of Bin Ops (KBO) Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kupang City Police, Ipda Rudy Soik, was hanged or there was no clarity from the Police.

It is known that Ipda Rudy Soik was previously fired after dismantling the BBM mafia case in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Sara, who is Prabowo's nephew, assessed that Rudy Soik had uncovered the subsidized fuel mafia case that was detrimental to fishermen in NTT. Surprisingly, Rudy was instead charged with violating the code of ethics until he was given a dishonorable dismissal or fired as a member of the National Police.

"If there is no clear follow-up and there is no clear alignment with the community, especially in this case I represent NTT, of course I will raise this to a higher level," said Sara at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, October 28.

When asked about a higher level is the president, Sara firmly agreed. "Yes (Pribowo's report)," he said.

According to Sara, Rudy Soik is a police figure who has fought against the criminal case of trafficking in persons (TPPO) in NTT. On the other hand, the police officer who has the rank of Inspector of Police Two (Ipda) is actually considered to be part of an individual in the National Police institution.

"Because he is in an effort to uphold or carry out his duties, it becomes a problem and until finally he was fired from the National Police institution which should be our common pride," said Sara, who serves as Chair of the National Anti-TIP Network.

For information, on Monday, October 28, Commission III of the DPR RI held a meeting with the NTT Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Silitonga and his staff to discuss the dismissal of Rudy Soik.

A number of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives who attended the meeting also said that there were irregularities in the dismissal of Rudy Soik. Rahayu Saraswati, who is also Deputy Chairman of Commission VII of the DPR RI, was also present at the meeting as Chair of the Anti-TIP National Network accompanying Rudy who was present at the meeting.

Ipda Rudy Soik was fired by the NTT Police for violating the professional code of ethics in an investigation into alleged misuse of fuel oil (BBM).

The violation of discipline and violation of the police professional code of ethics that ensnared Rudy Soik, includes several other cases, such as defamation of members of the National Police, leaving their place of duty without permission, and unprofessionalism in the subsidized fuel investigation.

Meanwhile, even though Rudy Soik had been fired, the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Tahi Monang Silitonga stated that his subordinates still had time to appeal the dismissal decision.
