Ministry Of Health: Prevent Bullying, PPDS Participants' WA Group Must Be Officially Registered At Hospitals

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health has asked every communication network group participating in the Specialist Doctors Education Program (PPDS), such as WhatsApp and Telegram, to be registered officially at the hospital to prevent bullying.

The Director General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health, Azhar Jaya, issued the letter as a follow-up to the instructions of the Minister of Health regarding the prevention and handling of bullying for students at the Education Hospital within the Ministry of Health.

There are four points listed, first, that the communication network group must be registered at the hospital and in the group there must be a department head as a representative of the hospital as well as the head of the study program as a representative of the medical faculty for monitoring.

"If an unofficial and unregistered communication network is found, sanctions will be imposed on the most senior students on the communication network," said Azhar in the letter, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 28.

Third, if there are acts of bullying found in the official communication network, the head of the department, the head of the study program, and the perpetrators of bullying will be given sanctions.

"As a step to monitor this, please ask the Director of Human Resources and Education of the Ministry of Health Hospital to record all these communication networks and the data must be completed within one week after the letter is received," he said in the fourth point of the letter.
