Returning From The BRICS Summit In Russia, Foreign Minister Sugiono Quoted To The Second Day Of Cabinet Retret

MAGELANG - Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Sugiono was present at the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang, Central Java Province, to follow the agenda of the Red and White Cabinet Retret on the second day.

This was confirmed by the Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi in response to the absence of Foreign Minister Sugiono on the cabinet retret agenda on the first day, Friday (25/10).

"He has been up to last night. So, this morning he has joined the activity," he said via text message reported by ANTARA, Saturday, October 26.

Hasan, when confirmed, was in a room to provide material briefings around the downstream program, ensuring Sugiono was present with ministers, deputy ministers, heads of institutions, special presidential staff, presidential advisers, and special presidential envoys in the classroom following the briefing.

"Now we are still following the material in the classroom," he said.

Sugiono's absence on the first day of debriefing agenda was due to him attending the 2024 BRICS Plus Summit (KTT) in Kazan, Russia, on October 22-24, 2024.

Sugiono became President Prabowo's Special Envoy and became his first assignment as Indonesian Foreign Minister.
