Israel Attacks Iran, America Claims Not To Interfere

JAKARTA - The United States claims not to be involved in Israel's military operations against Iran. Israel's attack this morning was a retaliation for a ballistic missile attack in early October 2024.

"We understand that Israel carried out targeted attacks on military targets in Iran as self-defense exercises and in response to Iran's ballistic missile attack on Israel on October 1. We will refer you to the Israeli government for further information on their operations," said White House National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett. reported by CNN, Saturday, October 26.

Israel launched a retaliatory attack on Iran this morning. The attack was reported right on the military's target in Iran. Tasnim news agency reported several explosions heard in the west of Iran's capital, Tehran.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said the attack was a retaliatory response to Iran, which has relentlessly attacked Israel since October 7, 2023, including a direct attack from Iran.

"Like other sovereign countries in the world, the State of Israel has the right and obligation to respond," the IDF said.
