Survey, People Supporting Anies Baswedan, PAN And PKS Do Not Accept FPI Disbanded

JAKARTA - The Saiful Mujani Research Consulting (SMRC) Survey Institute released the results of a survey regarding public sentiment regarding the dissolution of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) community organization (mass organization).

The SMRC Program Manager Saidiman Ahmad explained, nationally, there are 55 percent of the public who know that FPI has been disbanded and admit to agreeing with the prohibition of FPI activities. Meanwhile, 35 percent disagreed.

Then, SMRC conducted a mapping of respondents who refused to disband FPI. the classification is determined by the choice of presidential candidates in the upcoming elections.

"The strongest tendency to reject the disbandment of FPI came from residents who supported Anies Baswedan. About 73 percent of Anies' supporters stated that they rejected the disbandment of FPI," Saidiman said on Tuesday, April 6.

Conversely, the strongest tendency to support the disbandment of FPI was Tri Rismarini's supporters with 86 percent and Ganjar Pranowo with 80 percent of her supporters.

Meanwhile, when viewed from the support of political parties, the strongest tendency to reject FPI disbandment came from residents who chose PAN (76 percent) and PKS (68 percent).

Conversely, the strongest tendency to support the dissolution of FPI came from citizens who voted for PDIP with 88 percent of its supporters, Nasdem with 72 percent, and PKB with 70 percent.

Furthermore, if you look at your ethnic background, the people who strongly oppose the disbandment of FPI are Betawi residents with a share of 80 percent.

Apart from that, there are also differences in the assessment regarding the dissolution of FPI on the basis of satisfaction with the President's performance.

About 68 percent of residents who were satisfied with President Jokowi's performance stated that they supported the dissolution of FPI, while only 25 percent did not agree. On the other hand, 61 percent of residents who were dissatisfied with the President's performance stated that they did not agree with the disbandment of FPI, while only 32 percent agreed.
