Upset By Comparison, Children In Labuhanbatu Stab Parents

LABUHANBATU - Sei Kanan Police, South Labuhanbatu, North Sumatra, has named Andri Syaputra Dalimunthe (22) as a suspect after attacking his parents and being seriously injured.

The motive behind this brutal act is revenge and hurt because it is often compared to neighboring children.

"Because he was hurt by what he said, he was often compared. I made a mistake," Andri said when questioned at the Sei Kanan Police, Thursday.

Sei Kanan Police Chief AKP Pardomuan Hutasuhut said the determination of the suspect was carried out after a series of investigations, examinations of witnesses, and case titles.

"From the results of the initial examination, the perpetrator felt a grudge against his parents. Our suspicion is that there is a treatment that is not suitable for the perpetrators, often compared," said Pardomuan.

The stabbing incident occurred last Thursday. The perpetrator suddenly attacked his mother with a machete while at home.

The father, who saw his wife being attacked, tried to stop his son's actions, but was also stabbed. Local residents who heard the commotion immediately went to the victim's house and took the couple to the nearest clinic for treatment. The two victims suffered stab wounds to the head.
