JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto criticized the Indonesian government bureaucracy that it was very slow and complicated. This was conveyed by Prabowo in the inaugural plenary session of the Red and White Cabinet at the Jakarta Presidential Palace on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

"Let's be honest, we recognize that the bureaucracy in us is very famous for being complicated, very famous for being slow. There are even talks by our people that our government bureaucracy often makes it difficult, not making people's needs easier. Some even say that if it can be made difficult why it is made easy," Prabowo said.

Refusing to allow the poor bureaucratic service to continue, Prabowo also asked his ministers to be more daring to provide the best service to the community.

In fact, he freed the heads of ministries/agencies to remove employees who could not work to serve the community properly.

"I ask the ministers now, let's be bolder, don't hesitate to provide the best service for our people. If you are not satisfied with the officials under you, report it, we will immediately replace it. So many people want to serve," he said.

"No one here is immune. Those who do not comply, do not work hard for the nation, state, and people. My brother gives authority, removes, and orders us to stay at home instead of making it difficult for us," said Prabowo.

Prabowo also warned his staff to immediately make a strategy for accelerating work programs over the next 100 days. Prabowo stressed that he would summon all his ministers in rotation to evaluate their performance at the beginning of the administration.

"Make sure all programs and activities in all ministries/agencies have a significant measurable contribution and synergy," he said.
