JAKARTA - The older brother of the former National Police Chief of Badrodin Haiti, Luqman Haiti, died in an accident that occurred on a national route in Pecoro Village, Jember Regency, East Java.

"The deadly accident involved a black Avanza car with the number P 1497 HM belonging to the victim Luqman Haiti with a truck with the number W 9331 UG on the national route Jember-Lumajang Regency," said Jember Police Traffic Head AKP Achmad Fahmi Adiatma as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 23.

"The victim drove his vehicle alone and was helped by residents to be taken to the Rambi Puskesmas after the accident, but the victim died while being treated at the local health center," he explained.

The Jember Police Traffic Unit conducted a crime scene (TKP) and investigated further the incident that caused one victim to die.

"Based on witness testimony, the chronology of the temporary accident that we can convey is that the four-wheeled vehicle was traveling from east to west, while the truck was traveling from the opposite direction, namely west to east," he said.

Then the car swerved to the right and entered the dump truck lane, resulting in a fairly loud collision because the position of the two vehicles was quite close and unavoidable.

"The dump truck vehicle has made a braking effort, but because the distance was too close, the accident could not be avoided, causing the victim's vehicle to be badly damaged," he said.

He explained that the victim had received help from residents and was taken to the nearest health center, namely at the Rambi Puskesmas, but his life could not be saved and breathed his last after receiving treatment at the puskesmas.
