Minister Prabowo Was Reminded Not To Use Stamps To Maintain Public Trust

JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi confirmed that there was an appeal so that the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet would not carelessly use the ministry's kop, especially for personal interests. He called this step to maintain public trust.

"Yes, we must be on standby together. We must protect this great public trust together," said Budi Arie at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 23.

Budi said the appeal was accepted through the WhatsApp group. All ministers, he said, had read the appeal.

"All appeals to all ministers in the Red and White Cabinet," he said.

Budi did not consider the appeal as a form of reprimand.

"No. Yes, everything is reminded for us to be careful in taking steps, especially regarding personal interests, the family should not be affected. Don't use this ministry for personal and family interests," he said.

Previously reported, a letter was circulated by the Ministry of Villages and Disadvantaged Regions Number: 19/UMM.02.03/X/2024. In the letter signed by Yandri Susanto, it also invited village heads, heads of RT, to posyandu cadres in the Kramatwatu, Serang, Banten, to attend the commemoration of the 2nd anniversary of their mothers, Santri Day, and also tasyakuran.

The letter was signed on October 21, 2024 or coincided with the day he was sworn in as minister by President Prabowo Subianto, while the haul event itself was held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the BAI Islamic Boarding School Mahdi Sholeh Ma'mun.

Responding to this, Yandri ensured that this haul activity had nothing to do with political elements or content. In fact, his party also admitted that they did not want this political event to be ridden by political elements.

"During the process, there was no political element, nor did we want this event to be ridden by political elements. Including today we are donating food, it is on behalf of our mother," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 22.

Yandri thanked the former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD for reprimanding him through his X (Twitter) account.

"Thank you to Mr. Mahfud for drinking it and we will not repeat it again. But today is purely for the activities of Santri Day and our mother's birthday, there are no other elements," he said.
