JAKARTA - The Legislation Body of the DPR held an inaugural meeting to prepare a priority agenda for discussing the draft law, especially those that will be included in the national legislation program (Prolegnas).

However, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Baleg Bob Hasan said that the discussion of the Draft Law (RUU) on Asset Confiscation has not been included in the priority agenda list.

This was said by Bob based on the results of the meeting on the determination of the working agenda of the DPR RI Baleg which was held in the Baleg room of the DPR, Wednesday, October 23.

So far, said Bob, the bills that have been included in the priority agenda and were immediately discussed by Baleg include the Protection of Domestic Workers (PPRT) and the MPR, DPR, DPD and DPRD (MD3).

"It hasn't come to us yet. The bill for confiscation of assets has not yet entered. Only PPRT has entered," said Bob Hasan at the DPR RI Building, Wednesday, October 23.

"From the previous agenda (the discussion of the MD3 Law) is also included in it," he continued.

However, the Gerindra legislator said that the draft activities prepared and will be carried out by the Legislative Council of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period could not be separated from the agenda of the 2019-2024 national legislation program (Prolegnas).

According to Bob Hasan, the DPR Baleg continued the prolegnas agenda last period despite the re-adjustment of the list of bills included in it.

"In an administrative manner, it is clear that there are various agendas that are discussed in priority in the draft law. There are also those that we really prioritize how our prolegnas is arranged," explained Bob Hasan.

The DPR has determined the composition of the leaders and members of the commission and agencies. The Legislative Council of the Republic of Indonesia was chaired by Bob Hasan (F-Gerindra), accompanied by four deputy chairmen namely Sturman Panjaitan (F-PDIP), Ahmad Doli Kurnia (F-Golkar), Martin Manurung (F-NasDem), and Iman Sukri (F-PKB).
