JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the condition of the PT Jembatan Nusantara ship which was later acquired by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).
This step was taken by examining Budi Prakoso as the Head of SBU Marine and Offshore Oil and Gas of PT Bureau Classification Indonesia (Persero) who was summoned as a witness on Tuesday, October 22 yesterday.
"The BP witness was present to be investigated regarding the feasibility of the PT JN ship," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, October 23.
Tessa said there were actually other witnesses who would be questioned. However, he was not present and asked for a reschedule.
From the information obtained, the witness was Muhammad Syarif as the KJPP MBPRU Appraiser. He should have been questioned at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.
"Witness MS asked investigators to reschedule next week," said Tessa.
Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating cases of corruption in business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero). It is suspected that there has been a state loss which allegedly reached Rp1.27 trillion and is still changing because the calculation continues.
A total of four people have been named as suspects in this case. From the information gathered they are Ira Puspadewi who is the president director; Harry MAC as planning and development director; Yusuf Hadi who is the commercial and service director; and Adjie who is the owner of PT Jembatan Nusantara.
A VOI source said this loss arose because the acquisition process for PT Jembatan Nusantara did not comply with the regulations. Reporting from a number of reports, PT ASDP purchased PT Jembatan Nusantara in February 2022 with a value of IDR 1.3 trillion.

This state-owned company then controlled 100 percent of PT Jembatan Nusantara shares with 53 ships under management. "The process (in carrying out business cooperation and acquisition, ed) has no legal basis," he said.
"So all acquisition rules are violated," is still quoted from the same source.
