JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka stated that Indonesia is committed to strengthening cooperation with China.

Gibran emphasized that the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government will continue the good cooperation between Indonesia and China during the reign of its father, 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

This was conveyed by Gibran when receiving an honorary visit from the Vice President of China Han Zheng at the Vice President's Palace, Jakarta, Monday, October 21.

"What is clear is that the government of Mr. Prabowo will be committed to continuing what has been carried out. Thank you for your support, including in the construction of the high-speed train," he said, confiscated by Antara.

Vice President Han Zheng responded positively to the statement and expressed his belief that the cooperative relationship between China and Indonesia is currently in a very good position.

"We also believe that the new Indonesian government will continue the tradition of friendship between the two countries," he said.

Han Zheng also said that after a meeting between Elected President Prabowo Subianto and President Xi Jinping in April 2024, President Xi Jinping immediately followed up on plans for future cooperation with various relevant departments in China.

Vice President Han Zheng expressed optimism that good relations between China and Indonesia would not only benefit the two countries, but also make a positive contribution to regional and international prosperity.

"This cooperation will not only benefit the people of the two countries, but will also contribute to regional and international prosperity," said Han Zheng.

"Thank you, Your Majesty. We continue to strengthen this friendship," said Vice President Gibran closing the meeting.

In 2025, Indonesia and China will celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Vice President Gibran and Vice President Han Zheng also encourage increased economic cooperation and increased human resource capacity between the two countries.
