Prabowo Calls Candidates For Minister To Be Announced On Sunday Night

President Prabowo Subianto summoned a number of ministerial and deputy cabinet ministers for the period 2024-2029 to the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Sunday night, October 20. This was done ahead of the official announcement of the composition of the cabinet to the public.

Chairman of the Indonesian Advocates Association, Otto Hasibuan, who was present at the location, confirmed that a cabinet announcement would soon be made. "I was invited, President Prabowo will announce the composition of his cabinet," Otto said upon arrival at the Presidential Palace Complex.

In the same place, Abdul Mu'ti, Secretary of PP Muhammadiyah, who is said to be a strong candidate for the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, was also present. When asked about his presence regarding the minister's announcement, Abdul Mu'ti answered briefly, "I think so."

Apart from Otto and Abdul Mu'ti, several other figures were also seen present at the Presidential Palace. Viva Yoga Mauladi politicians and activists, Widiyanti Putri Wardhana agribusiness figures, as well as law professor ST Burhanuddin were among those invited to attend this event.

President Prabowo is scheduled to announce the cabinet and deputy minister elected tonight, at around 20.30 WIB. The wider community is looking forward to the new cabinet arrangement that will support the Prabowo-Gibran government for the next five years.
