Jokowi And Iriana Welcomed By Meriah In Solo, Distribute T-shirts To Residents

The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana arrived in Solo, Sunday, October 20, after landing at Adi Soemarmo Airport, Boyolali, Central Java. The arrival of the two was warmly welcomed by thousands of residents who packed the right and left roads along routes from airports to Solo City.

In a motorcade that uses open roof vehicles, Jokowi and Iriana also distribute t-shirts to residents throughout the trip. The voices of enthusiasm from the public were heard mentioning the names of Jokowi and Iriana, showing the warm welcome they received.

Arriving in Solo, thousands of residents were also seen crowding the area around Jokowi's residence in Sumber Village, Banjarsari District. Spanduks with thanks to Jokowi and Iriana decorate the area.

Meanwhile, at Jokowi's residence, a number of heads of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and community leaders were waiting for the arrival of the two. One of the figures present was Pengageng Pura Mangkunegaran Solo, KGPAA Mangkunegara X.

The Acting Mayor of Surakarta, Dhoni Widiyanto, stated that the Surakarta City Government had coordinated with the TNI and Polri to ensure the smoothness of the welcome. "We held simple events, from airports to residences in Sources," he said.

Residents continue to crowd Jalan Letjen Suprapto, hoping to see firsthand the figures of President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana who are always close to the community.
