Residents Are Urged To Avoid Sudirman-Thamrin During The Prabowo-Gibran Inauguration

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government urges residents to avoid Jalan Sudirman-MH Thamrin, during the inauguration of the President and Vice President on October 20, 2024.

This is because the protocol road will be passed by state guests. In addition, there are entertainment stages.

"For those who have no interest, please avoid track routes that may have traffic engineering," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Arifin as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 18.

However, he said, if residents want to participate in enlivening the momentum of the inauguration, the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI will prepare entertainment stages along Jalan Sudirman-MH Thamrin.

According to the plan, the entertainment stage starts at 11.00 WIB until the President arrives at the Jakarta Presidential Palace complex.

"If you can come together to give a tribute that enlivens (the inauguration of the President and Vice President) along Jalan Sudirman-Thamrin, there are places that are prepared for the entertainment stage," said Arifin.

The DKI Provincial Government through the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP is ready to synergize with the TNI-Polri for

securing the inauguration of the President and Vice President.

Satpol PP will deploy around 1,700 personnel assigned to secure around hotels on the country's guest track.

"Starting from Soekarno Hatta Airport to the hotel where they will stay there. Including the route from Halim Airport and the track route that will be crossed by the President and Vice President from the residence to the MPR/DPR Building, there will be more to the Merdeka Palace," said Arifin.

He appealed to all Satpol PP officers on guard to always be vigilant and careful in anticipating things that cause disturbances in peace and public order.

"We must be able to maintain together to help control so that the happiness and joy of the Indonesian people specifically in Jakarta in welcoming this leadership process runs safely, smoothly and orderly," he said.
