RDF Plant Rorotan Highlighted By KPK, DKI Provincial Government: We Are Very Happy

"So we are very happy because indeed to keep this project in accordance with its regulations, to maintain transparency, accountability with the existence of the KPK," Asep told reporters, Friday, October 18.

Asep said that the KPK had also communicated with the DKI Provincial Government regarding this monitoring. However, he emphasized that the role of the KPK is limited to assistance, not investigations.

"So what comes is not an investigation, but indeed from the Deputy for Prevention so that this project does avoid the KKN. This is not a KPK check," explained Asep.

The KPK has provided a number of recommendations to the DKI Provincial Government to prevent corruption in the construction of the RDF Plant Rorotan waste processing strategic project.

"This is to encourage the DKJ Provincial Government to ensure that the price is reasonable at unit prices and evaluate the unit price for project needs so that there is no price inflation and potential regional financial losses," said Head of the KPK Region II Coordination and Supervision Prevention Task Force Dwi Aprillia Linda Astuti, Sunday, October 6.

Therefore, he continued, so that the price standard is too high compared to the fair price and applicable value in the market.

"This must be considered in order to prevent regional financial losses. Make sure, there should be no misappropriation and inflation because this is one of the modes of corruption in the procurement of goods and services (PBJ)," he said.

The strategic project has a budget ceiling of IDR 1.3 trillion. The target is that RDF Plant can operate in early 2025.

Proyek RDF di Rorotan ini akan mendukung penguraian jumlah sampah masyarakat Jakarta yang mencapai total 7.500 ton per hari.

Dengan kapasitas pengolahan sampah yang ditargetkan mencapai 2.500 ton/hari, RDF Rorotan diharapkan mampu mengolah sekitar 30 persen total sampah Jakarta.

RDF proceeds are planned to be sold to buyers or offtakers, at a price of around US$24 to US$44 per ton.
